Hello Friends,
Nepal is a hilly country with a plentiful supply of water. Perineal rivers receive water from the Himalayas. Rivers with a falling elevation produce adequate head to create hydropower. So, in my opinion, hydropower is the best investment sector.
In Nepal, you can put your money into a variety of fields. Despite the fact that Nepal is a developing and politically unpredictable country, you can make a profit in any field. Agriculture, Tourism, Services, Hydro, Technology, Banking, Hotels & Restaurants, and other related industries are my favorites. However, there is also unhealthy competitiveness, which might cause issues for you. Currently, Hydro for Short term trading Microfinance for higher gains and dividend
If you have a large sum of money, banking for dividends and risk-free manufacturing is a good idea. There are several actually but of course it all depends on how politically stable Nepal is and the laws to enhance investment. Some sectors may include:
Nepal's Investment Opportunities
1) Land, Land, and More Fertile Land:
Although land prices in Nepal's Terai and rural districts are beginning to rise, they remain low. While waiting for the value of land to rise in a few decades, it can pay rewards in the form of crops.
2) Investments in tourism:
Nepal is the only country on the planet situated between two of the world's fastest-growing economies. India and China will have a significant economic impact.
3) Hydropower: Nepal has a vast hydropower potential. While large-scale hydropower projects require a significant investment, it is feasible to purchase shares in connected firms when they go public. Nepal is currently working on a number of hydropower projects. Several of them will be made public during the following ten years. This will be a great opportunity for a regular investor who does not have millions of rupees to invest. A plethora of projects awaits large-scale investment.
4) Medical Tourism: Nepal has produced some of the world's finest doctors. Surgeons from Nepalese hospitals also do operations in Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States. It is true that Nepali hospitals lack the infrastructure and equipment found in developed countries, but the quality of doctors is high. So a good opportunity to invest is in medical tourism in Nepal. Healthcare services in the developed world is expensive. A simple bypass surgery costs around a hundred thousand dollars there, while the same surgery can be done in Nepal at a fraction of the price.
Since Nepal is a country endowed with natural beauty, visiting Nepal for pleasure as well as medical reasons should be an attraction.
5) Investment Board: The Government of Nepal has established a high-level Investment Board, chaired by the Prime Minister of Nepal, with the goal of encouraging both foreign and domestic investment to enhance the economy. The major goal of this board is to make it easier for investors to invest in Nepal's promising sectors. It offers investors a single point of contact.
These are a few investment ideas that have the potential to yield big profits over time. As Nepal's middle class population grows, there will be even more chances. Nepal has a high rate of return on investment.
Note: Investment can be made either in cash or in the form of tangible/intangible assets, e.g. machinery and equipment. Foreign Financial Institution, with recommendation of ministry and approval of NRB can invest in a Foreign Invested Industry, in the form of project loan or project finance. The minimum ceiling for foreign investment is NPR 50 million as prescribed by Nepal Government except to the Investment Industry which is NPR 1 Billion as prescribed by the Government.
